菜品中不仅包含东西方美食的特色,而且酒在这道菜中也是重要亮点,不仅调味,而且可以烧出火焰,寓示中国人过年的好彩头,年年有余,红红火火、五谷丰登,节节登高! http://health.sina.com.cn/hc/2012-01-10/101923775761.shtml [ cyalis levitra sales viagra | where to purchase viagra | buy href lvivhost.com viagra | buy cialis doctor online | purchase cialis next day delivery | women does viagra work [...]

Coolest Nails in the WORLD 世界最酷的指甲

(ok, perhaps that was a slight exaggeration but… they certainly feel pretty cool) After the ridiculously fun press event yesterday (I say ridiculously fun because we also did some improv games with the press and theater folks, so it was very different from the typically boring Chinese style press events), we stopped off at the [...]

Cheeky Monkey design by Nacho & Dai Salon

This is the new Cheeky Monkey design by the wonderful artisans at Nacho & Dai Nail Salon. As you can see, a brilliant candy apple red with black trimmed goldenrod shapes. Inspired by the original Cheeky Monkey himself: Sun Wukong (pictured above). Peking opera-inspired nails never looked so good! More fun photos to follow soon [...]

Morally compromising advertising… a model’s life in China

So I recently showed up for a modeling gig (uninformed about the exact nature of what I was modeling, typical) to discover that it was for another weight loss product (skin whitening and weight loss are definitely two of the big ones). Go figure. The creepy thing about this particular weight loss product was that [...]

Wacky Chinese Products: Mexican flavored noodle snacks

Yes, its a beautiful thing indeed to see that stereotypes can transcend cultures in such a colorful way… these delightfully tasty fried noodle snacks are flavored with real Mexicans (or so the packaging would have you believe). Either way, cutesy sombrero and dancing cactus aside, this is thus far one of the few Wacky Chinese [...]

on modeling gigs for magical weightloss creams in China

The other day, I got cast from afar for a advertisement for some kind of weightloss product. Being cast from afar is never a good thing. I mean, its great in the sense that I didn’t have to waste any time actually going to an audition or costuming, but its bad in that you know [...]

Wacky Chinese Products: Lay’s Kiwi Flavor (chips)

For my latest installment of Wacky Chinese Products, I have selected the never-to-fail in the freakout category flavor series called “Natural & Cool” (自然清爽) produced by Lay’s potato chips. And no, these aren’t potato chips (or ‘crisps’ for you Anglos out there) that wear sunglasses and are incredibly hip and earthy. Their attitude is pretty [...]

Wacky Chinese Products: Maple’s Love (beverage)

The other day, on my way to visit my 干妈 (Chinese mother) at the hospital where she was recovering from knee surgery, I stopped off at a flower shop to get some pink lilies and fruit. After spending what now upon reflection seems far too much time bargaining over the price of aforementioned lilies, I [...]
