Random photos from Carmen 卡门 – Gypsy style Tablediving!

So my life has recently been eaten up by the most amazingly fun and hardcore project: Carmen. The Opera. Yes, an opera. Its like a play, a musical, dance and ginormous set design all thrown into one. Opera is kind of like normal theater on steroids. Its awesome. Its crazy. Its stressful. And beautiful.

Here’s a wacky set of photos from rehearsals yesterday, we were working with the dancers *all* day, but the best of the dance moves was saved for the last: the table diving. The dancers, who are acting as gypsies, were practicing a table-top variation of a trust fall, and they were doing it in unison. Looks very cool.

“Monter, monter, monter, Monter!!”
